Nowadays many people complain that they have difficulties getting enough sleep. What problems can the lack of sleep cause? what can be done about lack of sleep?
We are living in a world where everyone is in a rat race in order to prove themselves at their workplace and start taking more work than required from their bosses, which eventually results in sleepless nights. According to me, this lack of sleep will lead to depression and physical health issues. In order to combat this people, especially the working class should maintain a balanced life.
The biggest drawback of having sleepless nights is depression. This is a scientifically proven fact that if the body does not get an average of 6 hours of sleep every day, the body starts behaving abnormally leading to the secretion of stress hormones that may cause a person to feel depressed. Not only this, but lack of sleep may also cause issues in physical health such as migraine. When a person works continuously for long hours without giving proper rest to the brain, the chances of developing a severe headache rise exponentially. For instance, my cousin's sister developed a severe headache last week since she used to spend more than 15 hours at her office and continued to work even at home.
The most simple solution to overcome this issue is managing your daily routine properly. This can be achieved by maintaining a simple timetable where all entire daily tasks can be allocated to their specific time slots of the day. As a result, a working professional will not have additional stress to complete the task and therefore will be able to have a good night's sleep. For example, I have been able to sleep properly from the day I switched to a 9-5 working routine and told myself that I will not bring any office work to my home. Hence, by following a balanced daily routine, anyone can win against lack of sleep.
To sum up, lack of sleep is a major issue that people face which will lead to both mental and physical illnesses but, it can be easily tackled if they prepare a timetable for themselves and ensure that the official work is complete during work hours only.
